Mindy Suissa Cohen

I am the co-Founder and President of Higher Talent, a nationally recognized boutique executive search firm providing services to higher educational institutions and nonprofits. I bring more than 25 years of experience that includes hundreds of successful searches and appointments of highly skilled professionals in the areas of advancement, senior leadership, and university/industry relations. Clients say I have a “nose-for-talent”, sound judgment, and build superior candidate/client relationships. I have been privileged to partner with many of the most prestigious and highly ranked organizations in the country including USC, Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, University of California, Penn State, Smithsonian Institution, World Wildlife Fund, and many more. I have a passion for serving mission-driven organizations.

I have written and spoken on challenges confronting universities and nonprofits focused on corporate engagement, recruiting, and organizational structure/compensation. My STEM focus as a student fostered an interest in technology, and I have applied this to enhance efficiency in Higher Talent’s search process—accelerating delivery and efficiency while reducing client cost.

My involvement in the nonprofit world extends to active pro bono service to several organizations, counseling them on fundraising and board cultivation. I am proud to serve as a board member of Easter Seals DC | MD | VA where I am able to harness my industry expertise and passion to help families with special needs.
